Preventative Care Wellness Clinics

Times are tough these days. We understand many of our community members are experiencing financial hardship and need some help to keep their pets happy and healthy.

SafeHaven is now offering a preventative care wellness clinic including vaccines, flea control, dewormer, and microchips for both dogs and cats on the first Friday of every month. Our wellness clinics are a great opportunity for members of our community to take advantage of low-cost preventative care services to help your pet continue to live a healthy lifestyle.

Next clinic: January 3rd from 10am-2pm.

We will be accepting both walk ins and appointments for this clinic.

For walk ins: Please come by the shelter any time between 10am and 2 pm for services. Be prepared for a potential wait time.

To schedule an appointment (may reduce wait time): Please call 541-928-2789 ext 117.

Please Bring:
Please bring any previous vaccine and medical records for your pet. This is important so that we can select the appropriate duration of vaccines. Pets with previous history of appropriately boostered vaccines will allow us to extend the duration of certain vaccines for up to 3 years.

What to Expect:

All pet owners hoping to take advantage of these low-cost services must have their pet on a leash or in a carrier. Please be respectful of other pet owners who may be nearby, and do not encourage nose-to-nose contact with other dogs.

All pets must be safely handleable by our medical team. Any pets that are a risk to staff safely will not be eligible to receive services. We are not able to take in feral cats for any services.

At our wellness clinics, our veterinarians briefly examine your pet to determine if they’re healthy enough to receive vaccinations and other services. If our veterinarians feel your pet may be too sick for vaccines, they will refer you to your regular veterinarian or nearest emergency clinic.
