Preventative Care Wellness Clinics

We know times are tough, and many families are facing financial challenges. At SafeHaven, we believe every pet deserves a healthy life, no matter the circumstances.

That’s why we offer low-cost wellness clinics for dogs and cats on the first Friday of every month—making preventative care more accessible to everyone in our community.

We accept both walk-ins and appointments for this clinic.

What to Expect:

All pet owners hoping to take advantage of these low-cost services must have their pet on a leash or in a carrier. Please be respectful of other pet owners who may be nearby, and do not encourage nose-to-nose contact with other dogs. Please check in at our Intake/ Volunteer entrance located next to the flag pole. The front entrance doors remain locked until 12pm.

All pets must be safely handleable by our medical team. Any pets that are a risk to staff safely will not be eligible to receive services. We are not able to take in feral cats for any services.

At our wellness clinics, our veterinarians briefly examine your pet to determine if they’re healthy enough to receive vaccinations and other services. If our veterinarians feel your pet may be too sick for vaccines, they will refer you to your regular veterinarian or nearest emergency clinic.

Please bring any previous vaccine and medical records for your pet. This is important so that we can select the appropriate duration of vaccines. Pets with previous history of appropriately boostered vaccines will allow us to extend the duration of certain vaccines for up to 3 years.
