Kona a sweet 1-year-old girl who came to us after her owner could no longer care for her. Kona is full of energy and personality! She loves food, enjoys being outdoors, and is always ready for playtime and adventure. Kona is smart and spirited, which means she can sometimes push boundaries and will benefit from continued training and structure.
She does have some separation anxiety and may dig in the yard or try to escape if left unattended outside, so a secure yard and patient family will help her thrive. Kona is also still working on her leash manners but is eager to learn with positive guidance and consistency.
The good news? Kona has lived successfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful candidate for an active family willing to give her the time, exercise, and love she needs. With the right home, Kona’s playful heart and affectionate nature are sure to shine.
Element is a calm, easygoing adult cat with a quiet personality. She’s friendly but not demanding-she enjoys gentle attention and will often settle nearby rather than be in the middle of things. She likes predictable, peaceful spaces where she can relax, nap, and observe her surroundings. Element would do well in a home looking for a low-maintenance, steady companion who is affectionate in a subtle, relaxed way. She is ready to find her forever home and give all her love to her people.
Foster One, Save One. When you open your home to a foster pet, you’re giving them comfort and care while freeing up shelter space – allowing us to help even more animals in need.
Foster homes play a critical role during kitten season. Many of the tiny kittens we take in are just a few days old and will need bottle feeding and close, constant care – something that is hard for us to provide in the shelter. Getting them into a home environment quickly will give them the best chance to grow and thrive. We’ll provide all the supplies you’ll need, along with support and guidance every step of the way.
Volunteering is a great way to work with SafeHaven to assure pets’ welfare. See how you can help today!
