Hello there! My name is Miss Maybelle, and I’m the belle of the ball around here. (Did someone say ball? Where is it? Let’s play!) I absolutely love people and enjoy making new friends. One of my favorite things to do is go swimming, and I’m always ready for an adventure with my favorite humans.
Miss Maybelle does have allergies and some anxiety, so she’ll do best with a family that understands her needs and can help her feel comfortable and cared for. In return, you’ll get a loving, playful companion who can’t wait to be part of your family.
Peppa is a devoted mama who has spent the last several weeks lovingly raising her kittens. Now that her little ones are ready to venture out on their own, it’s Peppa’s turn to find a home where she can relax and be cared for.
Peppa is a reserved girl who takes her time getting comfortable in new situations. She can be a bit skittish, but she’s highly food motivated, and a tasty treat goes a long way in helping her explore new spaces, carriers, and people at her own pace. While Peppa tolerates gentle pets, she prefers to keep all four paws firmly on the ground and appreciates having her personal space respected. She doesn’t enjoy feeling cornered and will let you know when she’s uncomfortable, so she’ll do best with someone who understands and appreciates feline body language.
If you’re a cat-savvy adopter who enjoys earning a shy cat’s trust and celebrating the small milestones along the way, Peppa could be the perfect companion for you.
Foster One, Save One. When you open your home to a foster pet, you’re giving them comfort and care while freeing up shelter space – allowing us to help even more animals in need.
Foster homes play a critical role during kitten season. Many of the tiny kittens we take in are just a few days old and will need bottle feeding and close, constant care – something that is hard for us to provide in the shelter. Getting them into a home environment quickly will give them the best chance to grow and thrive. We’ll provide all the supplies you’ll need, along with support and guidance every step of the way.
Volunteering is a great way to work with SafeHaven to assure pets’ welfare. See how you can help today!
