Community Spay & Neuter Services

Community Spay & Neuter Services

SafeHaven Humane Society is pleased to offer low-cost Spay/Neuter services to our community.

In addition to ensuring that all of our adopted pets have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption there are times, when space allows, that SafeHaven can offer these services to community pets as well. Please review the following information:

Cat spay or neuter:  $100
Dog spay or neuter:  $150

Additional services such as vaccinations, deworming, microchip, or flea control can be added on at an additional charge the morning of surgery.

Pre-Surgery Requirements

  • Dogs and cats must be at least 8 weeks of age and over 2 pounds
  • Pets must be healthy and pass a pre-surgery exam by our veterinarian the day of surgery
  • Pets must be able to be safely handled by our veterinarian and the medical team.
  • SafeHaven is unable to offer pre-surgery bloodwork at this time. If you want pre-surgery bloodwork, this will need to be done by your regular veterinarian. Pre-surgery bloodwork is strongly recommended for geriatric patients.
