An Update on Pets Who Have Found Their Forever Homes!

Blueberry & Freddo
“After moving to the area in September 2025, I visited SafeHaven in the hopes of adopting a cat. I instantly fell in love with Blueberry (then named “Patches”) and adopted her that day. She quickly warmed up and is the sweetest cat EVER! Since adopting her, I have never done anything alone. She follows me everywhere, sits with me while I work, and sleeps at my feet every night.

Two weeks after I adopted Blueberry, she needed a friend. I returned to SafeHaven and met Freddo (then named “Rusty”), a 6 month old orange kitten. Named after the iconic Apollo 13 Lunar Module pilot Fred “Freddo” Haise, Freddo never stops purring, is equally high energy and cuddly, and loves Churu treats. After a long introduction period, they became best friends and are bonded!

Twice the cats has meant twice the amount of cuteness, chaos, and zoomies and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They fill my life with so much energy, love, and companionship – I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be their mom!”

Congrats to Blueberry and Freddo for finding the perfect mom and their perfect BFF in each other! We couldn’t be happier for all of you.
Snickers
“I had recently lost my Izzy at 16 and hadn’t decided if we wanted another fur baby. Driving home after work one night my car veered into SafeHaven’s parking lot. Well there weren’t many cats/kittens and the older ones weren’t particularly interested in me. But this little guy, and he was little, clawed at the window so I took him into the play area. He would not leave me alone. Climbing my leg and purring and doing all the cat things. Well you guessed it. He came home with me. After a couple traumatic days, he lived behind the dryer for that time, he fit in quite nicely. He has attached himself to my husband, who has never been a cat person, and follows him around like a puppy dog. 5 years later he still makes us laugh and our home wouldn’t be the same without him.”

So great to hear Snickers has converted yet another “not cat person” into a cat lover.
Mayhem
“Mayhem was adopted spring break 2024 and has been chirping and squeaking her way into our family. She loves to talk to you at 3am, wakes up her favorite teenager every morning for school with biscuits, and likes to annoy her older cat sister by jumping on her head on their way out the door for food. She has created a wonderful mayhem in our home, living up to her name.” 🖤🐈‍⬛

We love it! Thanks to Mayhem’s family for sharing this adorable update.
