Reading Made Fun for Kids & Pets

Want to help your kids brush up on their reading skills? Sign them up today for our Happy Tales Reading Program.

This program helps children increase their reading skills and self confidence by reading aloud to our adoptable dogs, cats, and small animals. And it benefits our adoptable animals by allowing them valuable time socializing with people. The program is open year-round to children in Kindergarten through the 8th grade.

Reader slots are limited to one slot on the hour, every hour, during business hours (Noon – 5PM every day). Slots are 45 minutes long and will be available to reserve the week prior to their date. Each child must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants will need to go through a short orientation before beginning.
