Stray Animals

Our policy is to hold stray cats (before being made available for adoption). Please note that due to county restrictions, SafeHaven can only accept stray cats. Please refer to Linn County Animal Control for stray dog resources.

Stray Hold Times

• With no id at all: 3 days
• With only a collar: 5 full days
• With a microchip: 10 full days

Reclaim Your Pet

Please bring any proof you have to show that the animal is yours (Photos and vet records will suffice.). If you come in to reclaim your pet, please be aware that we charge the following fees to recover some of our costs:

• $15/day (boarding fee)
• $8/ml flea treatment (Dose based on weight)
• $4/ml deworming (Dose based on weight)
• $15 for vaccinations
