Waived Adoption Day

Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA, SafeHaven is able to offer WAIVED adoption fees on the 2nd Saturday of every month in 2026 – because cost should never be a reason an animal remains in the shelter!

If you’re planning to adopt, here are a few ways you can help the day run smoothly:
Before the event:
• Stop by the shelter or browse our website to see who you might be interested in
• If possible, visit ahead of time to meet animals and talk with staff about their history
• If adopting a dog, come in for a meet and greet before Saturday
Day-of reminders:
• Dogs must go home with a collar and leash (bring your own or purchase one here)
• Cats must go home in a carrier (bring your own or purchase a plastic carrier or temporary cardboard carrier)
