Animal Adventure Camps

Get ready for a wild day of fun at the shelter! Each Animal Adventure Camp is a one-day experience packed with hands-on activities, animal encounters, crafts, games, and themed fun—all designed to spark compassion and curiosity about animals. Every camp has a unique theme, so kids can attend just one or multiple for a full season of furry fun! Whether it’s your camper’s first visit or their fifth, Animal Adventure Camps are the purr-fect way to make memories, build empathy, and become an animal advocate!

Super Senses

Come explore the amazing ways animals experience the world around us! Campers will learn about powerful animal abilities like a dog’s incredible hearing, a cat’s night vision, and even how elephants can smell water from miles away. Through hands-on games and creative activities, kids will compare human senses to animal “superpowers” and learn how these special abilities help animals survive, communicate, and stay safe.

Empathy Explorers

This camp focuses on exploring empathy and understanding the feelings of others, human and animal alike! Kids will learn about body language and building strong trust-based animal friendships through games, activities, and crafts.

Shelter Detectives

This is a hands-on, mystery-solving camp for 3rd-5th graders who love animals and asking big questions! Campers will uncover how shelters help pets stay safe, healthy, and get them ready for adoption and their new families through games, crafts, and exciting activities.

Animals Everywhere

There are so many wonderful animals all around us! From our favorite familiar pets to the exciting animals we only see in movies. Participants in this camp will delve into the differences between wild and domestic animals, where animals originate, and much more all while participating in creative crafts, games, and activities.

Vet Camp

Vet Camp is an exciting, hands-on experience where campers step into the role of veterinary professionals and learn what it takes to keep dogs and cats healthy, safe, and ready for loving homes. Throughout the day, campers will enjoy crafts, games, and activities that help them to explore how veterinarians and shelter medical teams care for animals from the moment they arrive until after they join their new families.

Art with Animals Camp

Join us for a fun-filled morning of creativity, kindness, and furry friends at our Art with Animals Camp! Designed especially for children ages 4–6, this half-day camp combines age-appropriate arts and crafts with gentle, supervised time around our shelter’s adoptable animals.

Campers will enjoy animal-themed crafts like paw print painting and making enrichment toys for shelter pets—all while learning about compassion, empathy, and the basics of pet safety. Each day includes a hands-on project, story time, and a snack break.

Please note: Children must be able to use the bathroom independently. All activities are tailored for preschool and kindergarten-age children, with plenty of support and encouragement in a safe, enriching environment.

Fun & Fur Camp

These are Monday-Thursday camps, 9am-3pm, $180 per participant, bring a lunch-snack provided.

A four-day adventure full of paws, play, and purpose! At Fun and Fur Camp, kids dive into the exciting world of animal care, rescue, and advocacy—all while making new friends (furry and human!). Each day is filled with hands-on experiences at the animal shelter, from creating enrichment toys for cats and dogs to learning how to care for bunnies and guinea pigs.

Campers will explore a new activities each day with interactive games, animal encounters, creative crafts, and mini service projects that directly help animals in need. It’s the perfect mix of fun, learning, and heartwarming moments. Whether your camper is a future vet, an animal lover, or just up for tail-wagging fun, Fun and Fur Camp is where unforgettable memories, and kindness, begin.

Paws and Purpose

Designed for students entering grades 6-9, Paws and Purpose is an immersive, hands-on camp for youth who want to make a real difference for animals in their community. This program goes beyond loving pets – it explores what it truly means to support animals through in-shelter volunteer projects, enrichment for adoptable animals, and learning about current animal welfare issues in our community.
