Capital Campaign

Just a few short years ago in July 2014, SafeHaven Humane Society completed phase one of its Imagine the Possibilities Capital Campaign. Our state-of-the-art Education and Adoption Center stands as proof of what inspired and dedicated individuals can accomplish with community support.

Now we are ready to embark on the final phase of our campaign! The final SafeHaven construction project, our on-site Medical Center, is now on the horizon. The Medical Center and our organization as a whole will strongly focus on the theme, “Where Pets Become Family”. This completion of Phase Two of the Imagine the Possibilities campaign will allow SafeHaven to lead the way forward in compassion and care. When completed, the Medical Center will encourage partnerships with local veterinarians as well as with students pursuing a variety of careers in veterinary medicine, allowing SafeHaven to fully embrace the concept that pets truly are family. This will be accomplished through extended outreach efforts, low-cost vaccination options, spay and neuter services, and on-site medical care.

At first, the numbers may seem daunting. To make the new medical center in its entirety, we will need to raise 2.3 million dollars. Fortunately, we’re off to a good start! The PetCo Foundation has generously donated $100,000. But we’re counting on dedicated animal lovers and donors like you to make this dream a reality.

The first part of Phase Two of this campaign includes a Spay/Neuter Surgery Suite, giving SafeHaven the capabilities to perform these necessary surgeries from within our own walls. In 2017, SafeHaven spent over $154,000 on spay and neuter surgeries before finding these pets their forever homes. Bringing this expense home will save the shelter thousands of dollars in just a short time. Currently, we have close to $250,000 set aside for this project!

To get the project going, our goal is to raise $500,000 and get the surgery suite started in 2019.
